Net Galley Book Review Injoy – Life

“The Very First Christmas Stocking And The Gifts of The Seven Coins by Terry Paul Lafargue is a charming children’s Christmas story that tells about the magic and meaning of Christmas. I found it delightful and my favorite little boy enjoyed it and wanted me to read parts over and over again. I gave it five stars,

I recommend this story for parents, grand parents, Christian teachers and librarians. It is a sweet story that by a yearly reading could add joy to a new family tradition.”

“Most of us know the story of Jesus’ birth; the shepherds, star, wise men, and angels, but have you ever heard of the first Christmas stocking and the seven coins. Join Gabriel and Gabriella as they tell the shepherding family of the meaning of the bright star and take them to meet to meet the holy family and how the coins they were given to give as gifts will soon become gifts from the heart.

“This is a delightful story told with warmth and humor. Colorful illustrations help keep the readers involved in the story and wanting more.

The Very First Christmas Stocking And The Gifts of The Seven Coins will soon become a family favorite to be shared over and over. My raring 4.5 out of 5 stars

Net Galley Review Patricia

“This is a charming and simply written version of the Nativity. By focusing on the family and having angel children who can be a bit naughty (joy riding on a shooting star) and also go to school the author has made the story accessible to today’s children. My five year old loves Bible stories and knows this one by heart so she enjoyed the alternative telling. My only criticism that had me wavering between 4 & 5 stars was I felt it was a little long, however my daughter who is the one that matters insisted on 5 stars.”

Net Galley Review Joann Hakola – Journey of a Bookseller

“Here’s a different look at the birth of Jesus. Instead of the three kings, a family of shepherds come to visit.

I was expecting the traditional with a few additions but this one is a totally different look. When a shooting star lands in a meadow where two children were watching their sheep and it turn out to be a jet like star that two angels are riding, you know its going to be different.

It’s a good tale with lots of lessons to learn along the way. The coins of this story are positive attributes we carry in our hearts. With angels, stars, coins, Christmas stockings and a pot luck dinner, there’s a new flavor to the birth of Christ.

This would be good for young ones. They will enjoy the boy angel who keeps getting into trouble. They’ll also learn about skills it’s good to have. Why not give it a try. I give it five stars”
